Process.
Every tattoo starts with a process. Sometimes it’s quick, sometimes it takes a little more working through. We usually begin with a consult or catch-up so we can understand what you’re after, look at the area we’re working with, see any existing tattoos, and get a sense of your style and future plans.
From there, the artist finalizes the design, size, and placement. Most of that work is handled before you arrive, but the final fitting matters. A tattoo has to work on your body, not just look good as a picture on a screen.
We may ask questions, show you references, or walk through a few possibilities so we can land on the strongest version of the idea. Sometimes we stay close to the original inspiration. Sometimes the process leads somewhere entirely different.
The goal is custom work that makes sense for you, your body, and the tattoo itself. Good tattoos take thought. Even small ones depend on the right sizing, placement, and technique. We try to keep the process fair and efficient, but we don’t rush past the parts that make the tattoo worth wearing.
Working Together
Great tattoos require trust, communication, and a good working relationship. We do our best to understand what you’re after, offer clear guidance, and make work we can stand behind. In return, we ask that clients come in open to the process, respectful of the artist’s experience, and comfortable with the agreed budget before moving forward.
We’re happy to answer questions and talk things through, but we are not the right fit for every project or every client. That’s okay. The best tattoo experiences happen when everyone involved feels good about the work and the process.
